Mr. Wicks has several years experience working with individuals and families in crisis. He currently is working in private practice where he provides therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
Mr. Wicks has extensive knowledge and training working with trauma, including using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). He has a specific specialization working with victims of abuse, children and adolescents with behavior problems, and their families. His past experience includes being a coordinator of a sexual abuse program and working as an RSAFE therapist with Lutheran Family Services. Mr. Wicks is also an approved provider with our local Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Project Harmony and Juvenile Probation.
Mr. Wicks is highly trained in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). In addition, he has advanced training through the Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) to treat OCD. Mr. Wicks also has training and experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in the treatment of trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Chris Wicks received his Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 2003 and a Masters of Social Work in 2005 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is also a member in good standing of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
